TLC Junction is intended to grow into a small online community. It was developed in an attempt to assemble the people the webmistress has encountered over the years into one place to communicate, and offer their personalities, knowledge, wisdom, and friendship to site visitors. We discuss almost everything, from the weather, birding and other hobbies, to personal issues and world events. Almost any topic is fair game, as long as it is safe for minors to see/hear.

I am Teresa, or Tess to friends. I am 46 years old, and a single mother of three teenagers. I was born and raised in Virginia, but have lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina for the last 13 years. I was a home health care provider for a short while, and served in the US Army as well. I was happily married for 17 years, at which point my family was split by infidelity. My independent new life began anew in late 2006, and it has been a surprisingly wonderful journey. I came to the firm conclusion that our lives can only be as much as we make of them, and I decided to offer my input and experience to others, while absorbing the help and wisdom of the many great people I have met. My journey continues, and it will be shared here as time goes by. It is my honor to share my story, and hear the stories of others who care to share.

TLC stands for "Tender Loving Care" to most of the world. My initials were TLC before I got married, so I grew up with the intention of living up to the famous acronym. I was taught by many of the people in my life how to nurture others, while other people I have come across in my life hurt me deeply, and forced me to learn how to stand tough in the face of adversity. For the purposes of this website, TLC stands for "Thrive, Learn, Cultivate". For me, those are three essential building blocks of a successful, happy life.
